As the world listens to the stories of survival and watches the defeat in recovery, know that we give our support and love to the city of Moore, Oklahoma. We grieve with you over the loss of the people in the city, and we grieve over the loss of the homes, businesses and schools. When you feel as though you can no longer go on, know that the rest of the country is there for you in your time of need. The rain may have stopped and the winds may have ceased, but the storm is just now beginning for so many of you. As you pick up the pieces and try to recover, we will do anything possible to help.

Many of us may not have been through a tornado, but we have all experienced loss in some form or another. We understand the importance of knowing that there is someone who cares. The city will not be the same as it was; it will be better because it will be built with the strength of the survivors. Walking along your daily lives, you are sure to go through your ups and downs. Keep in mind that things will get better, things will improve and you will all be stronger in the end. You have the love and sympathy of the country, and we will fight with you until the end, through any other storm that might come your way. You will get through this, and you will be a better city for it.
